A persistent feeling of low energy, sluggishness, or lack of motivation.

How it shows up

Feeling physically and mentally drained, moving slowly, difficulty starting activities, or wanting to rest most of the time.

Why it happens

Stroke can affect brain areas responsible for alertness and motivation, and recovery itself requires significant energy.

How common
Possible management

Gradual activity pacing, regular routines, adequate sleep, light exercise, and medical evaluation if symptoms persist.

Fairly common, especially during the early stages of recovery or alongside fatigue.
