What it is
Difficulty controlling how the eyes move and work together.
How it shows up
Trouble tracking objects, jerky eye movements, difficulty reading, or eyes that don’t align properly (which can cause double vision).
Why it happens
Stroke affects the brain areas or cranial nerves that control eye movement and coordination.
How common
Can occur depending on stroke location, especially with brainstem or cranial nerve involvement.
Possible management
Vision therapy, eye exercises, prism glasses, or guidance from a neuro-optometrist or specialist.
