Staring into space, losing track of conversations or activities, or suddenly realizing time has passed without remembering what happened during that moment.
Why it happens
Stroke can affect attention networks and brain signaling, sometimes leading to short lapses in focus or awareness.
How common
Reported by some stroke survivors, especially those experiencing attention or cognitive processing changes.
Possible management
Reducing distractions, improving sleep and fatigue management, cognitive therapy, and medical evaluation if episodes are frequent or concerning.
