Stroke can affect language and motor planning areas of the brain responsible for producing fluent speech.
How common
Fairly common, especially in survivors with aphasia or other speech-related stroke effects.
Possible management
Speech-language therapy, pacing techniques, practicing structured conversations, and supportive communication environments.
