What it is
A feeling of inner restlessness that creates a strong urge to keep moving.
How it shows up
Inability to sit still, constant shifting, pacing, or feeling uncomfortable when trying to rest.
Why it happens
Can be related to changes in brain chemistry after stroke or as a side effect of certain medications used during recovery.
How common
Possible management
Reviewing medications with a doctor, adjusting treatment, relaxation techniques, and gentle movement strategies.
